Working with Patterns Level 1 (BAKERSFIELD)

Join Bethani for a series of related classes that build on top of one another helping to build confidence and skills using patterns. Learn the basics of working with patterns and garment sewing, such as basic terminology and markers. Brief instructions will be given for finding student's pattern size and how to cut them out.
While there are many techniques and methods to 'finishing' a garment, the classes will give ideas for basic finishing techniques with sewing machines - optionally pinking shears or a serger can be used to finish seams.

Classes can be 'cherry picked' individually; although it is highly recommended to attend all classes as they build on top of one another but is not required.
Each month features a new project to grow your skills and confidence.
Classes will be held two evenings a month, on the 2nd and 3rd Friday, running from January to June, at 6PM.

*Supplies and Fabric should be purchased before the first day of class, and fabrics will need to be
