Take Four Placemats (BAKERSFIELD)

Student will be using fat quarters to make an easy set of four placemat. These are great for holiday gifts. Students will learn the envelope method of finishing the placemats. Plus students will practice using decorative stitches to finish the placemats.
Pre-wash all fabrics
Supplies:
- Four coordinating fat quarters
- 1 yard of coordinating fabric for back
- Four 15" x 20" pieces of batting
- Sewing machine in good working order. I recommend replacing the needle with a new one.
- Sewing machine manual
- 1/4" foot and walking foot
- small snippy scissors and large scissors
- Mettler light grey thread number 331 - one large or two small spools
- One wound bobbin
- Thread to match placemats for quilting
- Rotary cutter with a new blade
- Rulers 8 1/2" by 24 1/2" - I recommend Creative Grid rulers
- Cutting mat at leas 18" x 24"
- Seam ripper
- Glass head pins
- Project box
