Sierra Star Queen Paper Piecing (BAKERSFIELD)

Come join in the fun and learn to make this spectacular paper pieced queen size quilt. Judy Niemeyer creates beautiful patterns which will help improve your sewing skills. In this class you will learn paper piecing curves, organizing fabrics for a challenging quilt and how to insert into a circular setting. Learn how to make a compass, spikes and wandering flying geese with great results... LOTS of fun techniques and tricks. 

   We will have a pre-class for organizing choosing fabrics, cutting papers, etc. Items listed in the supply list with ** afterwards will be needed for this session.

SUPPLIES:
- Artic Star Queen pattern/ papers (available at the shop) **
- Scissors / Rotary cutter **
- Cutting mat **
- 12" quilting ruler with 1/4" marks **
- Pins **
- Large paper clips **
- Project box & gallon sized ziploc bags **
- Stick on colorful dots **

- Fabric as per pattern - a VERY limited number of kits will be available for this class. Please call the shop to reserve one. 
- 1/4" foot 
- Open Toe sewing foot
- New machine needles
- Sewing thread
- Add a Quarter Rulers (available at the shop)
- Folding template - can use mylar or index card as long as it has a stiff edge
- Scotch Tape
- Glue stick or pen
- Wonder clips
- Purple thang
- Small iron & board
- Note taking supplies
- Light Box - OPTIONAL but really nice
