Foundation Scrappy String Quilt (BAKERSFIELD)

What can you do with all those odd strips/strings of fabric in your stash/remnant bin? Learn how to make a Foundation Scrappy String quilt! Low stress sewing with your machine, less measuring, to make a baby quilt to full size quilt for family/friends. Foundation (sewn on a paper or muslin square) string quilt will teach you to make a quilt with all those left over scraps (Christmas, Halloween, holiday, black/white prints, Tula, red/pink, blues, or all over scrappy) to make a fun quilt. You can use scraps 1” – 4” wide, and a center strip 16” x 1.5 – 2” width for each block
to unify your string quilt. Once you get started, you’ll be looking for more strings. Class sample has 36 blocks. You will make at least 1-2 blocks in class. This is a technique class and you will be on your own to complete all your blocks for your project. Idea handout available for those attending
the class.
