Beginning Paper Piecing - SWAK Pillow Top & Stamps (BAKERSFIELD)

Have you ever wanted to learn paper piecing but it all seemed too challenging and you just didn’t enjoy it? You will learn that PP (paper piecing) can actually improve your sewing skills, and find a new and exciting way to tackle any PP project. There are so many fun projects that require PP skills. We will make a SWAK (Sealed with a Kiss) envelope blocks and some fun stamps to add to your project. I hope to take some of the mystery and challenge out of making your SWAK PP blocks. We will also make some fusible stamps from adorable iconic fabric.
Supply List:
* Pattern will be provided IN CLASS
* ¼” Add a Quarter ruler
* Seam roller
* Template plastic at least 3”x 12”
* 28 mm rotary cutter and cutting mat
* Scissors
* Long sturdy pins (I use yellow ball pins)
* Elmer’s glue stick (optional)
Fabric:
* Background fabric - ½ yard total fabric for (4) blocks
* ½ yard sashing fabric,
* Assorted fabrics for envelope blocks.
** Optional for Stamps -
* ¼ yard or large scrap of fusible such as Heat and Bond or Steam a Seam Light,
* 1 FQ of white fabric
* Serrated scissors or curvy blade for rotary cutter to make stamps.
* Assorted 2” x 2” scraps for stamps.
