Join us each month for a new make and take project! Something fun that can be done in a day!

Join Bethani in making an easy elastic waistband skirt! This method allows for the skirt to be made in nearly any size. Students get to pick their fabric for this project! YOU MUST PICK IT OUT BEFORE THE CLASS DAY!
Students will get to learn how to measure themselves for a skirt and how to calculate yardage and what to cut. This quick and easy method can be used to make a variety of gathered skirts.
Handouts describing what math makes a skirt, how to calculate, and skirt construction will be provided for students to keep!
Supplies:
*2 yards Fabric of Choice
Machine in good working order with a new needle
Fabric scissors
Rotary cutter and cutting mat
Ruler (recommend 8 1/2 x 24 1/2 ruler)
Seam Ripper
Thread matching your fabrics main color
Straight pins and/or fabric clips
Safety Pin or Bokin for threading elastic
Fabric marking pen or chalk
Measuring tape
