EPP - Hexie & Applique Pillow Top (BAKERSFIELD)

EPP – English paper piecing is a technique of turning fabric over a paper template and hand stitching the shapes together. Learn how to make English Paper Piecing (EPP) hexies and add simple leaves and stems. Create a pillow or center for a table runner or quilt. Class sample will be a pillow top using 3 piece hexie flowers, stems and leaves hand appliqued to background.
Supply List:
* Background – 22” x 22” (I used Essex), low volume/light print
* 5” squares for hexie flowers in any color
* (2) FQ blue/green for stems
* Scrap pieces 4”x4” for leaves
* (2) 8” squares for birds
* Clover Bias maker ¼”
* Task light
* Task iron (no wands) and ironing surface
* Roxanne’s Glue Baste It
* Small jar of Best Press
* ¼” blunt end paint brush
* Scissors,
* Freezer paper,
* Glue stick (Sewline)
* Thread to match fabrics: 100wt silk thread match applique, and 50 wt to neutral thread for EPP.
Instructor will provide the EPP papers
