Quilt As You Go (QAYG) Mat (BAKERSFIELD)
This log cabin style mat is quilted as you go using scraps! Make it to any shape or size and change up the colors to match any decor. For the class, students will be provided with a heart shaped template. Use it as a mug rug, pot holder, candle mat... the possibilities are endless. Not only is it functional but it's decorative as well! These make a great present for all occasions.
SUPPLIES:
* Cardstock heart template will be provided the day of class for the class project
* Sewing machine in good working order & manual
* Thread & full bobbin to match project
* Hand sewing needles
* Wonder Clips (available at the shop)
* New sewing machine needle (bring extra just in case)
* Point Turner/ Hera Marker
* Small iron & heat proof pressing mat
* Rotary cutter and small mat
* Scissors
* Thread snips
* Marking pen
* Small ruler or hem gauge
FABRIC:
* 1/8yd 6 - 7 different fabrics or sizable scraps that are at least 2" wide
* 1/4yd backing fabric
* 1/4yd Fusible Fleece - available at the shop
* 1/4yd Insul Bright - available at the shop
