Hemingway Quilted Pouch (BAKERSFIELD)

Who doesn't love a custom designed cover/ pouch for their tablet, eyeglasses, laptop or special class supplies? Join Beverly to learn how to make these versatile pouches that are beautifully clean finished inside and out! Pick your favorite fabrics or use orphan fat quarters. Learn new skills: quilting with foam "batting", installing a one sided zipper, adding zipper pulls and binding raw edges. The focus will be on making the MEDIUM size pouch in class. These make a great present for all occasions.
SUPPLIES:
* Hemingway Pouch pattern (available at shop)
* Sewing machine in good working order & manual
* Thread & full bobbin to match project
* New sewing machine needle (bring extra just in case)
* Walking foot and quilting guides for your machine
* Wonder Clips (available at the shop)
* 505 Spray Baste - bring a towel or fabric to protect spray area!
* Point Turner or Chopstick
* Rotary cutter and small mat
* Scissors
* Thread snips
* Marking pen
* Small ruler or hem gauge
* Roxanne Glue Baste or glue stick
FABRIC:
* 2 Fat Quarters - (1) for lining, (1) for outer
* 1/8yd contrast for binding
* ByAnnie Soft & Stable or Pellon Flex-Foam as per pattern - available at the shop
* Zipper- length according to the pattern sizes. Size 4.5 or 5 work best for this project as they are sturdier and easier to change the sliders. Longer zips are available at Cherry Berry that will allow you to make 2 pouches from 1 zipper!
