EPP - Star Pillow Top (BAKERSFIELD)

English Paper Piecing (EPP) is more than the hexie. Join me to make a EPP Star Pillow with the jewel shape. Whether you’ve done EPP before or this is your first time, let’s make this fun star shape and hand or machine applique to a background. This two day class will focus on making the
EPP shape and creating a star shape and learning how to make a lined pillow with a zipper/flap. You will need to bring your sewing machine on the 2 nd day ONLY. I will provide the 1” jewel EPP papers (which are reusable) for the two stars. Bring your lunch/snacks!
Supply List:
* 2.5” strips or 5” charm scraps.
* ½ yard fabric for front of pillow
* 1 yard fabric for pillow back/flap/binding
* 14” zipper
* 1 yard fusible fleece
* ½ yard muslin (lining)
* Neutral or thread to match strips/charms
* Task lamp
* #8 Embroidery needle to assemble the EPP stars.
* Sewline fabric glue stick, Roxanne’s Glue Baste it
* 1” Jewel EPP papers (I will provide EPP papers for your first two stars)
* Sewing machine in good working order – 2 nd day ONLY, WITH zipper foot
* Rotary cutter/ruler/mat
* Best Press to starch fabrics
* Scissors
* Long pins
* 12” x 16” pillow insert (optional)
Instructor will provide the EPP papers
Bring your lunch and leave your sewing machine at home!
