Small Patchwork Purse (BAKERSFIELD)
Join Beverly to learn how to make her custom one of a kind small patchwork purse that is fully lined. This small patchwork purse can be embellished with ric-rac, trims or ribbons. You can even fussy cut your favorite prints for the large square to showcase your style! Perfect for the grandkids or for just a small handbag for you. You will also learn how to create the yo-yo flower that doubles as a hair clip!
SUPPLY LIST
FABRICS:
* 1/3 yd for lining & straps - allow 1/2yd IF print is DIRECTIONAL
* 1/4 yd EACH of (5) different fabrics for patches (or enough for 2 - 5" squares of each fabric). This is a perfect opportunity to use a favorite charm pack!
* 1/2 yd FUSIBLE fleece - available at the shop
* 1/3 yd SF101 - available at the shop
* 5/8 yd Ric-rac, ribbon or trim of your choice
NOTIONS
* (4) 1" D rings - available at the shop
* Thread to match your project
* Roxanne's Glue Baste It or glue pen - available at the shop
* Sewing machine in good working order & manual
* Full bobbin to match project
* New sewing machine needle (bring extra just in case)
* Pins or Wonder Clips (available at the shop)
* 505 Spray Baste - bring a towel or fabric to protect spray area!
* Point Turner
* Safety pin or bodkin for turning
* Rotary cutter and small mat
* Scissors
* Thread snips
* Marking pen that ISN'T heat erasable
* Small ruler or hem gauge
* Small craft iron & heat resistant mat
