FPP - Christmas Envelope Pillow (BAKERSFIELD)
Have you ever wanted to learn foundation paper piecing (FPP) but it all seemed too challenging and you just didn't enjoy it? You will learn that FPP (foundation paper piecing) can actually improve your sewing skills, and find a new and exciting way to tackle any FPP project. There are so many fun projects that require FPP skills. We will make a Christmas envelope block PILLOW top and complete a lined pillow back.
SUPPLIES:
- 1/4" Add a Quarter ruler
- Seam roller
- Template plastic - at least 3" x 12"
- 28mm rotary cutter and cutting mat
- Scissors
- Long sturdy pins (flower head pins work great)
- Elmer's glue stick
- 8" or 12" square ruler
- Pillow insert 20"
- Sewing machine in good working order and neutral thread
FABRICS:
- 1/2 yd TOTAL for (4) blocks
- 1/2 yd Sashing fabric
- Assorted Christmas fabrics for envelope blocks: 4-5 FQ and 2-3 FQ coordinating solid fabrics
*You will make at least 2 blocks in class (If you want to make the sample pillow, you will need to make 9 blocks total)
- 1 yd Backing fabric - (2) 1/2 yd cuts could also be used for more design options!
- 1/2 yd Binding fabric
